Since you’re not finishing it, I’d like to inform you that they made up an entire Melodramatic Backstory for He Ziqiu’s (ZXC) mom. It was so wild I skipped it lmao. All of that to justify that she was not a bad person actually. And so she (a ~good person~!!!) and Li dad could get married, and well at least they’re all in the same hukou(?) now. It was so dumb but I’m happy for the other characters. 😂
