Fall is the best time of the year because all the birds start FLUFFING THEMSELVES UP. 

I was in fact That Person taking DSLR shots of pigeons at a major tourist site in Spain last year. But look at that pigeon!! Look how round!! I’m always astounded by the variety in pigeon colors in Europe; when they were introduced to the US, there must not have been as much variation in the starting population.
